Spiderman 3

Alright, call me a sheep if you want to, but I went to see Spiderman 3 with my family this weekend. I wanted to see it Friday night but things didn't work out. I finally got to the theater early on Saturday.    read more »

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2007

tkn0spdr's picture

Alright, so I just got back from watching this with my boys (ages 7 and 11). I enjoyed it even though it was a bit darker than the 80s movies of the same name. I was also a bit depressed that it wasn't live action or at least a mix of CG and live action but it wasn't too bad.

The hight point of the whole movie was hearing Mako as Splinter. All in all I'd say TMNT has grown up a bit...
And I'm not sure if that's the best thing in the world or not.

3 out of 5 stars.

Pete the Gorilla

My sister, Kat, works at the Seattle zoo...she writes...

"Pete the 38 year old silverback gorilla had oral surgery today (sunday). he had busted one of his canine teeth and a whole crew of human maxo-facial oral surgeons, anethesiologists, radiologist came in on their own time to remove the tooth, do cardiology exam, etc etc. plus of course the animal health crew. RIP Rook

tkn0spdr's picture

I lost my best friend this morning. We got Rook from the SPCA in 1997, he was between 2 and 4 years old when we got him. When I woke up this morning he was gone. He was a wolf/husky hybrid, about 80lbs, and silver/black in color. He was super sweet to everyone he met and gave kisses freely. He wasn't above hunting anything that was small and furry though; cats, moles, rats, even lizards, hermit crabs, and turtles. He really wanted a horse once too, but people... he loved them. When our younger son Alex was born Rook claimed him as his own and got upset if we let him cry too long. I'm going to miss him for a very long time and remember him forever.

You can see his pics here.

So yesterday my family and I went back to WDW after not having traveled there for over a year. We used part of our tax money to get annual passes again and I am totally stoked!    read more »

Wild Squirrel

Okay, so my neighbor cut down his palm tree. It had some sort of disease, which by the way, if my palms get it, I will kill him because that's why I moved to this crazy neighborhood!!!    read more »

Bassets are slobbery, but good!

My Basset Hound, Fred, loves to see people coming his way that are wearing black pants. I really think he knows they are black. I think he sees only black. Maybe even smell black. When he sees black pants, he gets closer and closer to his prey until they bend down. "Oh, what a cute dog." Cute dog. He is 80 pounds. A bit overweight for his size, but fat and happy as I say. Anyway. Bending ever so close, he gets 'em!    read more »

So I Missed February

tkn0spdr's picture

So I just checked my blog and lo, there were no entries for February.

I spent the month working, watching TV and movies, and trying to read a book. I reviewed Children Of Men recently and I liked it so much that I got the book to read. I'm enjoying it, but recently there always seems to be something else to do that takes precedence over reading, so it's slow going.    read more »
