Okay, so my neighbor cut down his palm tree. It had some sort of disease, which by the way, if my palms get it, I will kill him because that's why I moved to this crazy neighborhood!!!
Anyhoosky, the whole tree was down and he was cutting it in to pieces when all of a sudden a squirrel jumped out from one of the slices! And inside we (yes he had an audience watching him, but not helping) saw three baby squirrels buried down in their nest. We were ooooing and awwwing when one of the babies squeaked and the mother jumped out of the top of a nearby tree and CHARGED towards us!!! You never saw 6 adults and two kids run and scream like little girls!!! She finally found her babies in the tree trunk and gently picked them up, one by one. She grabbed each one as they hung on to her neck (looked like she had a big goiter!) and trotted over to another palm and deposited them in their new home. Only time will tell if my neighbor's palm tree really had a disease, or the squirrel family is what 'did it in'!!

Oh, and I saw dolphins on my way home from work today. Just one big National Geographic moment here in Florida!
