Alright, call me a sheep if you want to, but I went to see Spiderman 3 with my family this weekend. I wanted to see it Friday night but things didn't work out. I finally got to the theater early on Saturday.    read more »

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2007
Alright, so I just got back from watching this with my boys (ages 7 and 11). I enjoyed it even though it was a bit darker than the 80s movies of the same name. I was also a bit depressed that it wasn't live action or at least a mix of CG and live action but it wasn't too bad.
The hight point of the whole movie was hearing Mako as Splinter. All in all I'd say TMNT has grown up a bit...
And I'm not sure if that's the best thing in the world or not.

RIP Rook
I lost my best friend this morning. We got Rook from the SPCA in 1997, he was between 2 and 4 years old when we got him. When I woke up this morning he was gone. He was a wolf/husky hybrid, about 80lbs, and silver/black in color. He was super sweet to everyone he met and gave kisses freely. He wasn't above hunting anything that was small and furry though; cats, moles, rats, even lizards, hermit crabs, and turtles. He really wanted a horse once too, but people... he loved them. When our younger son Alex was born Rook claimed him as his own and got upset if we let him cry too long. I'm going to miss him for a very long time and remember him forever.
You can see his pics here.
Back to Disney
So yesterday my family and I went back to WDW after not having traveled there for over a year. We used part of our tax money to get annual passes again and I am totally stoked!    read more »
So I Missed February
So I just checked my blog and lo, there were no entries for February.
I spent the month working, watching TV and movies, and trying to read a book. I reviewed Children Of Men recently and I liked it so much that I got the book to read. I'm enjoying it, but recently there always seems to be something else to do that takes precedence over reading, so it's slow going.    read more »
The Devil Wears Prada
I just got this one from NetFlix.
That's the kind of comedy I like. It's got an edge to it and smacks you in the face with all the funny/cruel images from your own life. I could have been happy never seeing this film but I'd say I've enriched my life by watching it.
I enjoyed seeing a legend do what she was meant to do, Ms. Streep is a superb bitch, and the rest of the cast is also outstanding.
By all means rent this and see it, if you're a woman you'll probably want to buy it. ;-)

Definition of a Blog
Seems most people consider a blog to be a regularly updated sort of thing. So I guess that's just another way that I buck trends. I don't get here to post as often as I'd like; although, that could just mean that there isn't enough going on in my life to actually have something to say everyday or more often. Good thing I don't get paid to do this, eh?
Children of Men
I just saw 'Children of Men' earlier today. Wow, what a great movie. It was quite intense and had several unexpected and shocking moments. I was very impressed with it's interweaving of humor and brutality; many movies attempt to do it but Children of Men pulled it off spectacularly.    read more »
Almost 2007
Well, it's almost the new year. I'll be ringing it in at home again, it's too scary out there on New Year's Eve. The family and I are going to Ruby Tuesdays for dinner and we'll probably watch some movies this evening. It's a bummer that my wife has to work tomorrow. I have no idea if we'll do anything at all on the first day of the new year.
Catch ya'll later,
David
