So yesterday my family and I went back to WDW after not having traveled there for over a year. We used part of our tax money to get annual passes again and I am totally stoked!
Disney is my religion, so not being able to visit the holy land made me cranky. I was up before 6am and we were on the road by about 7. We spent the morning and afternoon at Magic Kingdom, rode some rides, had lunch and sundaes; it was a wonderful time. Then we caught the monorail over to Epcot and saw the new Nemo and Friends ride and exhibits. We rode a few other rides and then went back to Magic Kingdom, but not before I heard a small sign of the times in the script of one of my favorite rides. Have you ever ridden Spaceship Earth? During the ride the narrator used to say "Jewish teachers and Muslim scholars" they changed the word Muslim to Islamic.
When we got back to Magic Kingdom the boys bought rifles from the Pirate's Bazaar and then we headed home. On the way we stopped at Cracker Barrel for dinner. We got back to the house about midnight; we were all exhausted but I felt great too. I love Disney!
Captain Jack Sparrow makes several appearances in the Pirates of the Caribbean ride, that's new. Also, there's a live action interactive show in the plaza outside the ride with him and another pirate, it was very funny.
I want to go back as often as possible!
